A lassi bar on Lavelle Road in a Bengaluru of the 1970s ...imagine. Probably one of the earliest times when a concoction from the north was available here? In the south it has largely been a much watered down buttermilk that has been the cooling drink. Abdu Rahiman, who came from Kerala to Bengaluru in the 1970s initially, sold kulfis on the street out of boxes. With a history of over 40 years, Sreeraj Lassi Bar is one of the most iconic spots on the city’s food map. After a few years of struggle, Sreeraj Hotel on Lavelle Road offered him space to set up a stall, and the lucky name has stuck on to the legendary chain ever since.
Mr. Abdu Rahiman, who started his first shop named Sreeraj Lassi Bar in the year 1973. He introduced the famous - Kulfi and Lassi to Bengaluru. He used a hand pull cart of those days servicing customers from Lavelle Road to Bannergatta – a 40 Km stretch. The unique taste and quality took Bengaluru by surprise and the round the clock demand prompted him to set up his first shop. The overwhelming response prompted to open the second show room at Kamaraj road. The ease and availability round the clock was well appreciated by customers of all walks of life – industrial clients, business men as well as domestic .
Good lassi and kulfies , I liked the hot chocolate fudge the chocolate sauce is very tasty . good service and ambience. overall worth going to the place.
The Legendary Sreeraj Lassi bar was on my "to-eat" list since a long time. We took Mango Lassi and Pista Kulfi to start with. Both were too good. Lassi was very thick and flavoursome. Can't wait to visit again.
A no frills attached joint which serves gazillion types of lassi, milkshakes and juices. We ordered for Strawberry Lassi and Butterscoth milkshake. The strawberry lassi you get with cut strawberry on top was delicious.

My Shopping won't end until I have ice cream from here along with a plate of sukha Puri in the golgapa stall adjacent to this lassi bar .. the ice creams are tasty light .
